Crochet Lace – M Mesh Stitch

Hello everyone! Today I have another awesome crochet lace stitch to share with you all! The crochet M Mesh Stitch!

This M Mesh Stitch is awesome because it provides a super duper airy fabric, but adds interest with the way the stitches make the M shape.

I’ve actually used this stitch many times when I filet crochet. I typically use a 3DC filet method, and this stitch helps make the fabric have more negative space.

Ch a repeat of 4+1

That just means to ch 4 over and over again until you’re happy with the length and then add 1 more ch onto the end of that.

Row 1: Sc into the 7th ch away from the hook. *Ch 2, skip a ch, dc into the next ch. Ch 2, skip a ch, sc into the next ch.*

Repeat from *to* across

Row 2: Ch 6 (counts as a dc and ch 3), skip over and dc into the next dc. *Ch 3, dc into next dc.*

Repeat from *to* across

To place the last dc, look at the last sc, skip the 2 chs after the last sc and dc into the next ch away.

Row 3: Ch 5 (counts as a dc and ch 2), sc into the center ch of the next ch 3. *Ch 2, dc into next dc. Ch 2, sc into the center ch of the next ch 3.*

Repeat from *to* across.

To finish, ch 2, dc into 3rd ch of starting ch 6 from the previous row.
